Toyroom / An independent product

Track a changing
domain market.

Toyroom is a domain intelligence platform. Zone Counter searches more than 350 million domain names, CT Watcher discovers domains in public SSL/TLS certificate logs, and registration analytics tracks changes over time.

Toyroom Registration Analytics showing 273,170 registrations on September 20, 2026, with registration history and a map of domain extensions.
A real daily snapshot: 273,170 registrations across 679 top-level domains on September 20, 2026. Counts describe that snapshot.

The product problem

Keep a record
of what changed.

Hundreds of thousands of domain registrations can arrive in a day’s data. A single lookup answers a narrow question. Researching the market also means finding patterns across names, extensions, and dates.

I built Toyroom to search current zone data, discover domains through certificate activity, and preserve daily registration snapshots. Researchers can explore a name across extensions, compare keyword trends over time, and examine the records behind a count.

Inside the data platform

Search the market.
Follow the changes.

Real searches and historical data, captured from Toyroom in September 2026.

Toyroom Zone Counter returning 2,876,517 registrations for the sample keyword tech, with 1,783,672 distinct SLDs, 652 exact-name registrations, and extension breakdowns.

01 / Zone Counter

Search 350M+ domain names.

Search a word, prefix, or suffix across more than 350 million domain names, then narrow the results by domain extension. Zone Counter shows registration counts and the extensions where an exact name appears. The sample query here is “tech.”

02 / CT Watcher

Discover domains through SSL/TLS certificates.

Certificate Transparency (CT) logs are public records of SSL/TLS certificates used for secure HTTPS connections. CT Watcher reads those logs to discover domains and record when it first sees them. Researchers can compare discoveries with zone data, filter by extension, and explore available registrar and DNS-host details.

The discovery feed and verified new registrations have separate views. A verified registration needs an RDAP creation date; first discovery alone does not establish when a domain was registered.

Toyroom comparing daily registrations containing ai and tech across a 30-day historical chart from August 22 to September 20, 2026.

03 / Registration history

Follow a trend back through the data.

Daily snapshots retain the registrations behind the reports. Researchers can review daily, weekly, or monthly periods, compare keyword trends, and open the domains behind a point on the chart. This view compares “ai” and “tech” over 30 days.

What I built

Behind the discovery
and the history.

Recurring data ingestion

Background jobs import domain data, update the searchable index, and store daily registration snapshots. Processing and reporting sit behind a shared web interface.

Search and segmentation

Keyword and position searches, TLD filters, exact-name counts, and exports help researchers narrow a broad dataset to the names they want to investigate.

Certificate Transparency discovery

A recurring collector reads public SSL/TLS certificate logs, extracts domain names, and retains their first-seen time and source. Zone comparisons and available registrar or DNS details give researchers context for each discovery.

Historical analysis

Daily, weekly, and monthly reports connect registration counts to keyword trends, extension distributions, and domain details. The retained snapshots let researchers return to an earlier period.

Tools for the next research step

DNS and RDAP lookups, portfolio analysis, and domain categorization support further investigation. List cleaning, comparison, and export tools handle the preparation work around it.
